The nurses seemed to be hardened to the conditions and struggled to give 100% which is a real shame.

No one ever answered the buzzer in a timely mannor, the first night they ran out of ice packs for the swelling and he Iv machine battery was broken so it beeped all night low battery, my pain relief ran out on several occasions but they were too busy to attend to it.

Why pay for private health when the level of care is so dramatically sub standard from admission onwards.

I had to beg for pain relief and for water. The food was bad even for hospital food.

The staff were disinterested at best, it's poorly equipped and it seems that everything Is done to a minimum standard to increase proffits.

If you have a choice I would suggest you choose ANYWHERE else but here.

I would never recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. Instead of my mother dying with dignity - she was treated without any respect and made to feel on numerous occasions that she was a nuisance. 3 months have passed and I feel guilty every day that I didn't have her transferred to another facility before she became too ill to move. She was in the Royal Women's hospital before being admitted to St. Andrews - and she had such superior treatment at RWH compared to St. Andrews. The lack of empathy that was shown to my mother was deplorable. I wrote to the hospital to complain about her treatment and received a phone call from the Nurse Unit Manager - who assured me she would look into my 'concerns'! Things did improve slightly but it was all too late.

I was actually scared for my life being cared for at this facility.

Terrible!! After Spending 2 frightening nights in this hospital I can safely say that next time I would choose public over this "churn and burn" poor excuse for a private hospital.

I was just recently admitted to St. Andrew's and stayed for a few days after my surgery. I must say that the majority of staff were great but when I went to the ward I came across several Nursing staff who were absolutely horrible. I felt belittled and humilated at times and will be taking this matter further. The food for a private hospital was disgraceful. Thank God the cafe there is amazing as I ended up throwing my ward meals in the bin. After spending thousands on my surgery and admission I felt upset that I had to buy my food. I definitely won't be going back. In the future if I need hospital treatment I will be going elsewhere. Standards in this hospital have dropped.

Hard to write good reviews about hospitals, no one wants to be there. Have had 2 admissions here. No complaints, friendly helpful staff. 5 stars if the parking was improved.

If you need an MRI dont be admitted here as their MRI department isnt approved by Medicare and you cant claim by private health or medicare. Go to Mater private instead. Shame your not informed in advance so you can make informed decision.
